Grey Water recycling (also spelt gray water or greywater) has been used for decades in Australia and many states in the USA. Grey water recycling and reuse systems have been developed over the years to limit the health risks normally associated with Grey Water reuse. One of the most important developments in recent years is that grey water must be used immediatly it leaves your bathroom. This mindset change, away from grey water storage, has facilitated a new breed of recycling products that are fast taking over from where the storage tank left off. If your grey water supplier insists you store your grey water - ask how you can change it or look for another supplier.
More often than not it’s a result of drought or water restrictions that the homeowner turns to grey water recycling. It is also now seen as the right thing to do. By re-using Grey Water in a responsible manner, the demand for drinkable (potable) water can be reduced dramatically.
